Garrett State Bank is Committed to Our Communities

As a community bank, the word “community” is at the core of our being and part of everything that we do. It’s no surprise then, that in 2022 the Indiana Bankers Association selected Garrett State Bank as a nominee for its Commitment to Community (C2C) Awards. The final awards (one for banks under $500 million in assets and the other for banks $500 million in assets or more) were presented to banks from throughout Indiana at the annual IBA Mega Conference in Indianapolis. 

Recognized as one of the 30 nominees who were in the running for one of the two C2C awards, we were proud to share the bank's efforts of working with local businesses to educate their workforce on financial literacy, as well as our involvement with the local schools. The bank also is proud to offer our employees a dedicated community service program, which we call Giving Something Back (GSB) Award hours. 

Through this program, we provide staff members paid time off for their volunteer efforts in and around the community. This is a great way to be involved with important initiatives that help to make our community a great place to live and work.
